How to sell Lightroom presets and design assets in India
By ClipChaos · Last checked 13 October 2026
Presets and assets sell on what they do to someone else's photo or video, so the listing matters as much as the files. This guide covers how to bundle them into one download, how to show the result honestly, and how to price a pack.
Bundle into one zip
- Put the preset files (for example .xmp or .dng for Lightroom, .cube for LUTs) in one folder with clear names.
- Add a short install guide as a PDF, with steps for both phone and computer.
- Zip the folder. A zip can be up to 50 MB, and one product can hold up to 10 files.
- If the pack is larger than 50 MB, split it into two zips in the same product, or remove sample images from the zip.
Show honest before and after
Buyers want to know what the preset does to an ordinary photo, not to a professionally lit one. Use before-and-after pairs from everyday shots, in the kind of light your buyers actually shoot in.
Say which app and version the presets are for, and whether they work in the free mobile app.
Pricing a pack
Small packs commonly sell between ₹99 and ₹299. Larger packs or packs with video LUTs can go higher. One free preset as a separate free product lets people test your look before paying.
Only sell what is yours
Sell presets and assets you made. Reselling someone else's pack, or assets built from files you do not have the right to distribute, gets a listing taken down.

Common questions
- Can I sell presets that work on the free Lightroom mobile app?
- Yes. The .dng format is the usual way to deliver presets for the free mobile app; include install steps in your guide.
- How do buyers get the files?
- The download opens straight after payment and is also sent by email. The link works for 30 days and 20 downloads.
- What if my pack is bigger than 50 MB?
- Split it into two zips and add both to the same product (a product can hold up to 10 files), or leave large sample images out and show them on the listing instead.
- What does ClipChaos charge?
- A flat 8% of each sale, payment gateway charges included, with no monthly fee. On a ₹499 sale the fee is ₹39.92.
